Rhys Taylor

This is an unlisted site so if you're here it's probably because we've got a shared interest in technology, are discussing a creative idea, or I was just being lazy and told you to find the link you need on one of these pages because my LinkedIn is pretty bare these days.

Classically trained in finance and marketing.  And after a couple of years letting my right brain loose in photography my career blurred into the worlds of cloud software, brand building, and general management.  The common theme in all of this has been customer-led transformation.  What better focus to unify a business?

I believe a brand is about more than expression — it's action, it's lifestyle ubiquity.  It's tackling the inconvenient truth that humans move faster than organisations.  And the only chance of keeping up is using a brand to galvanise culture to give people clarity and space to do their best work seeing as they’re giving up the best hours of their day for it.  So externally it can stand a chance of becoming a monetised customer franchise that systematically increases its audience, wins hearts over minds, and gets customers to move the direction we want.

Currently Managing Director at marketing and communications firm Publicis Groupe and Advisor to the New Zealand Government international trade initiative (NZTE).  If you're an investor or owner, or a marketer who wants a view on business into, out-from, and across the Asia Pacific; get in touch rhys.taylor@publicisgroupe.com.  If you want to talk making sense of commerce, culture, and how technology shapes and can enhance everyday life especially for emerging markets, use rt@p19.com.
